Serra San Bruno is a little town in the province of Vibo Valentia, characterized by an unusual rich vegetation. Here one can find cold woods of beeches and white fir trees, typical of areas with altitudes different from those of Serra (800 metres).

The Certosa is without any doubt the most important monument of Serra San Bruno. It is a charterhouse dating XI century, founded by Bruno of Colonia in 1090.

Here the Saint found the perfect place for contemplation. It was the first charterhouse founded in Italy. Up to  today the monastery still has a magic and mystical atmpsphere, leading to reflection and a sense of spiritual peace.
