Tropea
Tropea is mainly known for being one of the most attractive sea towns , but it is less known for its history.
It was actually very important in roman times, thanks to its particular position: in recent times new archaeological findings brought to light the old walls of the town and the church perched on the cliff.
Tropea has also a Norman Cathedral dating 1100 and a Franciscan monastery.
The old town is rich of noble palaces dating XVIII and XIX century.
A peculiar feature of the town are its white beaches , full of resorts and hotels located in charming palaces, but also camping facilities by the sea
